FAAOMPT Mentorship

​​As a credentialed Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), Dr. Bullock offers mentorship training to those striving to obtain the FAAOMPT credential through fellowship or residency programs. Below, are the AAOMPT requirements for mentorship expectations:

  • 440 total mentorship hours with an FAAOMPT and fellow-in-training

    • “130 hours of onsite 1-v-1 direct mentor supervision of the fellow-in-training while actively engaged in patient management”

      • Note:  “150 hours is recommended”

      • Note:  “130 hours is required”

        • Sub-note:  “20 of the 130 hours may be devoted to observation, discussion and interaction with the mentor”


  • “310 hours of [non] 1-v-1 indirect mentor supervision of the fellow-in-training; clinical practice hours should be accomplished in a manner that allows the faculty to observe the capabilities of the fellow-in-training while managing patients across the cycle of care”

    • Note:  “40 hours of onsite or phone/web-based technology interaction required"

      • Sub-note:  “These 40 hours are not included as a part of the 130 hours of 1:1 mentoring”
